Do you mean Cabaiguan Maduro? A little different than the Guapo.

Yeah, the maduros come in darker guapo boxes but they are not Guapo maduros but Cabaiguan maduros. You can tell by the lack of the pigtail. G1

So you say the Cabaiguan Guapos 46 maduro have no pigtails? I wonder what i got from Holt's? They are listed on nthe website as maduro, only the 46's and RX in maduro. Can't compare the shade of the box with any other guapo box. The cigars have a small pigtail. So what did I get?

If they had the piggy, they're the regular (SG) Guapos.

Sorry for the confusion guys. I made these originally in small batches so we just used the Guapo boxes and stained them darker. The blend is still Cabaiguan but I took one viso and replaced it with a seco leaf because the wrapper had enough flavor and spice to it. Originally, it tasted stronger than the Guapo and I wanted it to represent the whole Cabaiguan line.

Yes the pigtail is Guapo and the Maduros don't have one.

I must say, that I do like the format of the box so much that I am thinking of just slapping a Maduro sticker on the outside and leaving them reading Guapos RX and 46.
They do have that Guapo spice.......

At least people will know they got the maduro because it has no pigtail and since sometimes the normal Guapo wrapper can be pretty dark. I am using the same band.

Damn, I am confused.........

F' IT! - Viva El Guapo Maduro. Now no more confusion.......

Thank you Pete. With that info I contacted Holts about my order. They have sent me a new box and are taking the others back as a return. They were very fast and there was no problem at all. Now I have the maduros!

They are my favorite in the entire Cabaiguan line up. Great sticks! Well done.

I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form.

I smoked a Cabaiguan Guapo Corona Extra Friday night. It was about as bland as a cigar can get. Good thing I had a Don Carlos Lancero waiting in the wings.

The one Cabaiguan Guapo Corona Extra that I have smoked was the best PJ/DPJ cigar that I have smoked. I bought quantity based on that smoke and hope that they are consistent.

I have tried to like the reg Cabaiguans, but the regular line left me disappointed nearly every time. Usually just bland and then sometimes bitter. I even bought a couple of Draper Anniversary boxes. Half the cigars were plugged, the other half were OK at best.

I do have a couple toro sizes Cabs in my stash. No idea if it is this Guapo line or not. Will try them when I come across em.
