The health of our Nation is close to being the Worst. Ever.

Might as well blame the guy who at least help avert a depression.

How do you come up with that list?
Most were not Presidents in our life time.

Hey jd13,
alcohol withdrawal did a number on your brain.
While these polls are entertaining, they are far from accurate.
Most of these Presidents lived in different life-times and had to deal with completely different environment, issues, wars, etc.
How can one decide if apple is better than orange?

I understand when we compare the recent Presidents but not all US Presidents.
Few US Presidents owned slaves. Does that make them worse presidents?

Boris you really are stupid.... Every time I try and give you a little credit, you make me look bad by showing your ignorance and lack of any common sense...

Do you read either reference? Did you see how they came up with the lists? Of course not as that would have required using one of your few brain cells you may have left that functions.

I'm going out on a limb here, but when people whose life work and career is based on the subject, I'd tend to give them a little credit for knowing what they are talking about. Just like if you were to discuss .... well never mind.

Once a stupid drunk, always a stupid drunk...
Which part of my post didn't you understand?
I believe any polls that review the presidents over so many years are not accurate for the reasons I stated above. Hey, even the polls on the current President are not always accurate.
So do you think the fact that the President owned slaves should be considered when doing the poll on the worst/best Presidents?
Read the question slowly, hit your head few times against the wall to release some anger and then try to reply.

Unbelievable .... now the US Government... will be sued..

by... the woman at the center of the scandal rocking the US Secret Service

The official said the widening inquiry includes a review of agency personnel who had rooms at the Hilton Cartagena, where President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton stayed, as well as the Hotel Caribe, where the 11 agents and several military officers implicated in the scandal had rooms.

“They’re now talking to everyone,” the senior official said. “We’re taking this one step at a time.”

The official also confirmed the identities of two Secret Service supervisors involved who were dismissed on Thursday. Greg Stokes, who worked with a canine unit, was fired. The other, David Chaney, was allowed to retire. The supervisors were first identified by CBS News.

In Washington, Representative Peter T. King, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said that he had been told by people at the Secret Service that “more agents are expected to be leaving.”

Meanwhile, in Colombia, a lawyer retained by the woman who got into a dispute with a Secret Service agent over how much he owed her for sex said Thursday that she would cooperate with any official inquiries. The lawyer, Marlon Betancourt, said in an interview in Cartagena, where then suspected misconduct took place, that he had not been contacted by the United States or the Colombian authorities.

The woman, who has left Cartagena, was also looking into taking legal action against Secret Service personnel and the American government because she said that the agent had acted aggressively toward her, yelling and using an expletive to describe her, Mr. Betancourt said.

“I believe that laws were broken here,” he said. “You cannot mistreat people.”

Mr. Betancourt said that the woman, a single mother, has described herself as a high-class escort who charges as much as $800 to have sex with men, and is seeking to sell her story.

“It’s not about making money,” he said. “It’s about seeking some kind of compensation for what has happened.”

He added, “Her life is not going to be the same as it was before.”

Of course everyone knows this has nothing to do with prostitution, this has to deal with people being put in compromising positions that could lead to blackmail and security breaches as a result of that blackmail.

$800 is pretty cheap for a "high class escort" from what I read in the papers a few years ago when the Spitzer scandal broke...

True lol... and there are plenty of those quotes... even the iphone gets promoted by prostitute....and fine rum... lol

"It was only days later, once a friend she had shared her story with called to say that the dispute had made the television news, that she learned that the man was a Secret Service agent.

She is dismayed, she said, that the news reports described her as a prostitute, as if she walks the streets picking up just anyone.

“It’s the same, but it’s different,” she said, indicating that she is much more selective about her clients and charges much more than a streetwalker. “It’s like when you buy a fine rum or a BlackBerry or an iPhone. They have a different price.”

Yeah, that's New York... only gets you a kielbasa hoagie..

it was originally $250.. the morning-after fight started when the greedy prostitute wanted $800 and did not go well with the drunk Not so Secret Service.

And more LOL from her:

The price alone, she said, indicates she is an escort, not a prostitute. “You have higher rank,” she said. “An escort is someone who a man can take out to dinner. She can dress nicely, wear nice makeup, speak and act like a lady. That’s me.”

Quote:

There was a language gap between the woman, 24, who declined to give her full name, and the American man who sat beside her at the bar and eventually invited her to his room. She agreed, stopped on the way to buy condoms but told him he would have to give her a gift. He asked how much. Not knowing he worked for Mr. Obama but figuring he was a well-heeled foreigner, she said, she told him $800.

By 6:30 the next morning, after being awoken by a telephone call from the hotel front desk reminding her that, under the hotel’s rules for prostitutes, she had to leave, whatever deal the two had agreed on had broken down. She recalled that the man told her he had been drunk when they discussed the price. He countered with an offer of 50,000 pesos, the equivalent of about $30.

The 11 agents and 10 members of the military allegedly patronized prostitutes in Cartagena, Colombia, last week before President Obama arrived for the weekend Summit of the Americas.

The Secret Service and the Pentagon are conducting parallel investigations, including interviews with women believed to be prostitutes who were brought into Hotel Caribe, where the U.S. advance team was staying. Up to 21 women have been identified.

Officials have been able to find some of the women because they were required to leave personal identification at the front desk before they went up to the rooms. Local police were called after a disturbance broke out early on April 12, reportedly after one of the women complained she had not been paid for sex.

right on the second count, dead wrong on the first

they lose their clearance and their job on the next round of polygraphs "if no one makes a big deal about it"

they would fail the poly, then have to disclose, in the meantime, an enemy would approach them and explain to them that they are cooked anyway, so for $XX pass on secrets so that you will have a nest egg when you get canned

LOL.. If no one made a big deal?... it was their fighting with the women at the hotel hallway, that made the local police get involved.

Are you saying they should be above all international laws?

Plus half of them, the military personnel, actually violated US laws, and the Air Force already sent military lawyers to Colombia to prosecute the case under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

On top of that there were violations of curfews, and inappropriate conduct.

You completely misunderstood everything I stated. The prohibition creates the blackmail. If they didn't give a crap there would be nothing to blackmail.

What causes people to give up secrets is money, not morality.

no, I understand what you said...the prohibition doesn't create shit

married agents having sex with hookers creates a security risk due to the agent's desire not to have the affair come to life

even if drugs were legal, there will be professions that will prohibit their use, and at the top of the list will be the Secret Service

so the prohibition isn't creating the security risk, the profession, and the concomitant lifestyle you sign on for with the job, creates these issues

Prohibition?so it should be ok to be drunk, not enough sleep, plus bring prostitutes while on the job securing the area for the US President...

Extremely naive to think that is because of money. Look at the useful idiots like Lee Harvey Oswald.

Glad that you got it. Only way to point out how ridiculous to claim that prohibition is what creates blackmail.

The worst one was the single incident, where a member of the White House Communications Agency, with 24 hr secure communication between government officials actually brought one to the same floor where President Barack Obama stayed.

In other bars, they disclosed being members of the president's security detail, plus they were armed and drinking.

At the other hotel, they brought 20 back, and there were complaints from other guests about the all night noise coming from the entire floor on which the Secret Service was staying. In local newspapers, they said some hotel workers reported seeing lines of cocaine plus tables filled with many empty whiskey bottles.

The "Secret Service Sex Scandal" is not about prostitutes. It is about loitering, getting hammered, violation of top-secret security clearances, and in one case, bringing in complete stranger back to the room, where confidential information about the president's itinerary was reportedly kept.

Kept hidden since last November...

Brazilian prostitute had collar bone broken when three U.S. marines threw her out of a moving Embassy car in fresh embarrassment for Obama

Quote:
This latest incident, which happened in November last year, came to light after U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in Brazil during a Latin American tour, was questioned about it by a Brazilian reporter during a press conference.

According to a Brazilian police investigation, the four U.S. Embassy officials had visited a nightclub in the centre of Brasilia where they had hired a group of prostitutes.

One of the Americans and at least one woman left the club by taxi, but Ms Ferreira and another women got into an official U.S. Embassy van with the other three men.

As they pulled away there was a discussion about how much the women were to be paid, and one of the marines pushed Ms Ferreira out of the car, where she ended up being run over by the vehicle.

Speaking to the Jornal Nacional news programme, Romilda said she tried to hold on to the door but was dragged under the wheels.

She said: 'I tried to get up and grabbed the doorknob. That was when they told the driver to go. Then I felt my leg burning. I let go and fell underneath the van. I hit my head and passed out.'

The Americans then allegedly drove away without offering assistance.

Police investigating the incident requested the arrest of the driver of the van and one of the marines for bodily injury and failure to rescue.

But U.S. authorities removed the four men from the country before they could be charged with the crimes.

...and now from March of 2011

New Secret Service scandal centers on strippers, prostitutes in El Salvador

Quote:
SEATTLE —

Seattle-based Investigative Reporter Chris Halsne (KIROTV- CBS- COX MEDIA GROUP) just returned from El Salvador, where he interviewed a U.S. government subcontractor who worked extensively with the Secret Service advance team (snipers, K-9 and explosives sweeps) in San Salvador prior to President Obama’s trip there in March of 2011.

The eyewitness says he joined about a dozen Secret Service agents and a few U.S. military specialists at a strip club in San Salvador a few days before President Obama and his family arrived in El Salvador to meet with its new president, Mauricio Funes.

This source witnessed the majority of the men drink heavily ("wasted," "heavily intoxicated") at the strip club. He says most of the Secret Service "advance-team" members also paid extra for access to the VIP section of the club where they were provided a number of sexual favors in return for their cash. Although our source says he told the agents it was a "really bad idea" to take the strippers back to their hotel rooms, several agents bragged that they "did this all the time" and "not to worry about it." Our source says at least two agents had escorts check into their rooms. It is unclear whether the escorts who returned to the hotels were some of the strippers from the same club.

These alleged incidents in El Salvador occurred a full year prior to recent revelations that secret service agents used prostitutes in Cartagena, Colombia, on a presidential trip this month.
